The Metal West timeline
Metal West commences!
Original owner, Chad, starts a family orchid workshop.

Maddington Workshop
- The Maddington chapter begins, and the team introduces the press, guillotine, punch, shears and bandsaw.
- Shed extension occurs, a mezzanine is built and a side lean to is extended and enclosed to create saw and processing area.
- Introduction of the Hydro Pipe Tester and Denham Tank Mould.
- The team makes the move into moulding, taking on specialist projects like Yagan Square.
- Introduction of in-house 3D CAD (Solidworks) capabilities occurs

Humes Inpex
Fabricate new and upgrade fleet of 42 Mould. Various sizes of culverts. Transported to Darwin for casting.

Yagan Square seat moulds
As part of the initial Yagan Square project, Metal West created curved and rounded moulds for different modules and arrangements.
Forms required curved radius edges with cone sections and recessed bases.

Kewdale workshop
- New Bandsaw and CNC press purchased
- Tonkin Gap Alliance project involvement occurs, including our first involvement with Launch Bridge.
- Purchase of 3D scanner to offer new capabilities.

Kenwick Workshop
- Purchase of 6kw Laser with change table.
- Custom built Spray Paint Booth.
- Georgiou Mandurah Bridge and Belmont BMD Piers are key projects we undertake

Laser cutter
Upon moving into our new workshop we purchased a large scale laser cutter.

Paint booth
A full scale paint booth was added to provide us with the ability to do all paint work in-house.

Rebrand and relaunch
New shed in Kewdale alongside new logo and website launched!
